we have been trying to perform a few modifications on the frm wile
before the MySQL server reads the content of it when it . In an older
post from Brian Aker we found a comment on engine discovery
(http://krow.net/3147/Engine_Discovery.html). Also we found that it
still is used in the archive storage engine. Unfortunately it is not
documented in the internals documentation of the storage engine API.
Is it still activly used and if so how does it fit into the flow of
table discovery? Is there a frm cache within the server?
