I think that everyone agrees to this. In the past the idea was to debate coding style issues on the developers conferences. Now we should come up with another forum for doing this. Preferable there should be a committee of people from the different MySQL groups that accepts proposals and then from time to time create a formal proposal for changes to do. The prosal should be open for first suggestions and later voting. If the proposal is accepted, the change should be done in all active trees at once (to avoid future merge conflicts). Regards, Monty
