It certainly would make a lot of sense!

But because it's out of scope of your project, I'd recommend you to
schedule this task at the end. That is, do the main part of your project
first, and only when you'll think you're ready with your project goal it
would be safe to work on this enhancement without risking to fail your
main task.

I'll write another email later about how this feature could been done
(as this is not urgent, you aren't going to work on it now, right ? :).
