Paul,
Sasha is correct, if you are keeping anything of importance in your
database, then you should get a support agreement in place under which
we will:
A. Do the recompile on your system.
B. Run the test suites.
My experience has been that unauthorized recompiles of MySQL are the
single biggest creator of headaches for MySQL users. This is because
there are non trivial compile options that should be intelligently
chosen.
