Hello again,
here is the result:
mysqladmin: connect to server at '192.168.0.2' failed
error: 'Lost connection to MySQL server during query'
The server asked me for my password, so I figure the syntax is ok. But I can
not talk to my Linux box.
All other services on the Linux are ok, I can access them from my Win2K
machine (apache, mail server etc...)
I also tried to connect with the ODBC drivers (myODBC), got the same answer.
I do not know any more what to try. Going to bed for now, will continue
tomorrow morning.
