I am not able to recieve the notification when issues are updated/closed

Hi
    I am not able to recieve the notification and neither the email when i update any
issues.The same situation lies also when i close the issues.But it works fine when i
create any issue,i get the notification as well as email on my email id.Please give me
the way how to overcome this problem.I am using eventum 2.1.1.
