upgrade woes

I am in the process of upgrading Eventum from 1.3.1 to 1.5.4

Using my browser I went to
http://mywebsitehere.com/eventum/misc/upgrade/v1.3.1_to_v1.4/ and click on each
of the links to do the upgrade.

When I clicked on the fourth link (setup_columns_to_display.php) and it had
errors(pasted below).  I changed the full server path to the file to <full
path> but otherwise, those are exactly the error as displayed on the browser.

So, my questions are why the errors, and how do i correct them, and continue on
my upgrade.
