Reggie, any chance the connector installer can register itself for VS
2005 so that it can be used with VS 2005 numerous data tools?

Yes.  The GA version of 5.0 will ship with 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 binaries.
It
will also likely include 64 bit builds of the assembly (the alpha will
no
thave 64 bit builds)
