Specific Duties:
=E2=80=A2 Work with engineers on performance tuning, query optimization, in=
dex tuning.
=E2=80=A2 Data modeling and schema design.=20
=E2=80=A2 MySQL stored procedures, functions and triggers.
=E2=80=A2 Monitor databases for problems and to diagnose where those proble=
ms are.
=E2=80=A2 Work with other DBAs to maintain a scalable, reliable, and robust=
 database environment.
=E2=80=A2 Build database tools and scripts to automate where possible.
=E2=80=A2 Support MySQL databases and CMS for production and development.
=E2=80=A2 May be called upon to help on smaller coding projects.

Requirements & Education:
=E2=80=A2 3-5+ years MySQL experience.=20
=E2=80=A2 3+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA in a high traffic, transact=
ional environment.
=E2=80=A2 2-5 years working in a LAMP environment, particularly PHP/MySQL c=
ombination.
=E2=80=A2 Experience with data warehousing and data mining is a big plus.
=E2=80=A2 Proficient with database performance strategies.
=E2=80=A2 Proficient tuning MySql processes and queries.
=E2=80=A2 Experience in administration of InnoDB and MyISAM table types=20
=E2=80=A2 Experience with MySQL Replication, Master -> Slave and Master <->=
 Master Replication Models.=20
=E2=80=A2 Experience with MySQL stored procedures, functions and triggers.
=E2=80=A2 Experience with Data Sharding, Partitioning is a plus.
=E2=80=A2 Experience with a Web CMS is a plus
=E2=80=A2 Ability to work cooperatively with software engineers and system =
administrators.=20
=E2=80=A2 Exceptional problem-solving expertise and attention to detail.=20
=E2=80=A2 BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
