These emails document that some change for the test suite is required.
And that it shall be so that RESTORE does not enable events. They don't
answer the questions:

- Do behavior switch by system variable or SQL syntax extension?
- If by variable, what shall its name be?
- What is the default behavior?

IMHO these are questions that we cannot decide within the team.
