yes, but it never worked for fulltext. it didn't work before the fix, it
won't work after the fix, it doesn't work for prepared statements and it
doesn't work for directly executed statements. That is, this
optimization - or its absense - is irrelevant for this bug fix, it's not
affected by it. There are thousands of things in MySQL that are not
affected by this fix, there's no need to list them in a changeset
comment :)
