Is there any possibility of reaching a conclusion on this should be 
fixed? I see these possible solutions:

1) Push as it is (Rafal pro, Chuck con)
2) Modify patch to include binlog flag but not endianess flag (Chuck 
somewhat less con :-)
3) Modify status to open and fix it later when the flags will be used 
for something. The future fix should include the code that uses the flag 
(Chuck pro, Rafal con)
