I discussed the BACKUP_BREAKPOINT facility in the internals mailing list
on 2007-12-11 (Re: Proposal for a Test Synchronization Facility). It
does not meet my needs. At that time Monty contacted me and I could
convince him that it is insufficient for what I want to do. He made
change requests, which resulted in my proposals #2 and #3.
