Hi Andrei!
Here are the comments of remaning changes:
* Fix bit_do_set() and bit_do_clear() to have consistent behavior
and fix the documentation
* Check the return value of the calls to bit_do_xxx() or add an
assertion and document that it cannot fail
* I still see "(null)" in the test results, which suggests that you
have a portability problem by trying to call printf() with a NULL
pointer.
* I strongly suggest that you introduce a handlerton flag for the
storage-engine idempotency
* I would like to see the .._len array go away, but it's not
important enough to prevent pushing.
Just my few cents,
Mats Kindahl

Why? This means that there is inconsistent usage between them. In
addition, most users expect the following to behave according to
conventions, which are to return non-zero on failure and zero on success.
if (bit_do_set(...)) {
/* Error handling code */
}
if (bit_do_clear(...)) {
/* Error handling code */
}
but it would be OK to return non-zero on success and zero on failure.
Whatever you pick, I would like them to have a documented (which they
are) and consistent (which they are not) return value.
Also, take a look at Doxygen tags named @retval and @overload to
document these macros (http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/commands.html).

The "(int)" casts are not necessary, all alternative branches contain
integers, and there is just risk of hiding a potential problem by adding
a cast.

Still don't like this, since it prevents a third-party developer from
behaving like the cluster.
Second, db_type is going out in favor of using other means of handling
this (hence the name legacy_db_type for that field). By just adding a
handlerton flag for this property, you have handled the situation in an
extensible manner so that we do not have to make changes in the future.
This handlerton flag would be something like HTON_IDEMPOTENT or
HTON_ALWAYS_IDEMPOTENT, and the test would then be:
bit_is_set(m_table->s->db_type()->flags, HTON_ALWAYS_IDEMPOTENT)
