Subject:multi-site clusters in 7.2 ?
View as plain text
Hi,

yesterday Oracle announced the GA of MySQL Cluster 7.2. Among other new
features I read:
"Multi-site clusters allow individual data nodes to be located in different
data centers, with databases automatically sharded between them."

Are the old performance limitations, that prevented using this kind of
setup, not existent any more (network latency between data centers in
different cities) ?

Is there a document describing this setup and its limitations ?

I could not find any other information than this announcement (neither in
Google nor in http://dev.mysql.com/doc/).

kind regards
