AUTO_INCREMENT in Primary Key + clusterj

Hi, I am trying to use a PK as an AUTO_INCREMENT value, but I keep on getting:
" ...message Tuple already existed when attempting to insert ." as an error
Any ideas on how to implement this?
The last comment in this post [1] mentions annotations similar to
those in JPA, is there anything like that for Cluster/J ?
