Hi Guys,

I am swapping data node processes from ndbd to ndbmtd, in a rolling
fashion (using version 7.0.9b). All looks good, the node (id 4 is
started and seems to be happy), and the ndb_mgm output is this :

however, before I go went ahead with dropping node 5 and restart it as
ndbmtd rather than ndbd, I looked at the log output for the two nodes,
and it seems that although node 4 (ndbmtd) is started it is not carrying
the same amount of data as node 5(ndbd). I understand the splitting of
the indeses, and the visual output of the data, but the sum of the node
4 index pages does not equal the total of the node 5 index pages, and
the Data usage is off by  almost 18% (14% usage as opposed to 17%
usage). 

Question : does this mean I will lose data is I stop node 5 and restart
it as a ndbmtd ? Should the two nodes, regardless of process contain the
same amount of index and data ?

Thanks for any pointers ... and I do know that hte ndbmtd process will
pick up from the data in its own node, I just wanted to be very
careful ... 'measure twice, cut once!"
