We're probably having a communication problem here. There are two heartbeats,
I was talking about the one from http://www.linux-ha.org/ not cluster.

Hearbeat, stonith; does that ring a bell?

Intuitively, a HA system with heartbeat running mySQL cluster appears a bad
idea, I was asking for more informed opinions on the issue.
