You can obviously use 5.0 as well, but given that you're requirements
are on the
high side I would recommend 5.1 and possibly even being in contact
with MySQL
to know more about the Cluster Carrier Grade Editions.
5.1 has ontop of the disk data possibility for non-indexed data also
more efficient
storage of VARCHAR fields.
