You're heaps better off looking at the current known issues in 5.1 in 
relation to your actual requirements and basing your decision on that 
than you are with trying to use labels.

NDB does not support FULLTEXT indexes, if that's what you're asking 
about. MyISAM is the only storage engine that has those.
