If you take an interest in MySQL Cluster, you may consider the following
information to be of interest:
As can be seen from the MySQL website
(http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/MySQL_Cluster_Interconnects.html),
considerable performance improvements can be obtained by using the low
latency SCI interconnect with MySQL Cluster. The performance
shown for the basic database functions indicate a 2x performance
improvement at this level.
It would now be of great interest to Dolphin and hopefully also to the
MySQL community to gather more information as to how this translates to
real application performance.
Dolphin would therefore like to invite users that are concerned about the
performance of their MySQL application to contact us for an opportunity to
test with the Dolphin hardware. Dolphin will provide hardware for selected
users to perform (performance) testing with their MySQL clusters obtained
without any obligations to buy, but solely to report the performance gain
from their tests.
