Subject:prefered method to restart a failed ndbd node
View as plain text
My sql has it's little mysqld_safe script that has a "watcher" process
just like ndbd does. But a neat little sysv style script is ther for the
mysqld server and none is there for the ndbd. Do most people just stick
something into rc.local? It is easy enough I just wondered what the normal
deal is.

By the way, is there a way to set mgmd to automatically start a node that
appears (through a ndbd --nostart)? Would this be preferable in any way to
just startring the thing? I can't remember anything in the manual that
would lead me to believe there is an advantage there.

To be honest I am just thrilled the thing works now.
