I'm using the text based client 'mysql' When I connect by simply running 'mysql' and the connection is timed out and when I do another query then the connection will be reestablished at once. But when I run the mysql like 'mysql -u xxx -p -h yyy' and the connection times out - then I have to run the query twice. (I wrote these error messages last time) I don't use the command line utility that much but It just got my attention that I have to run the query twice. Thanks for your comments on the subject ...
