I agree.  If it's possible to make a patch for 3.22, one will be
made (I don't know what's involved in fixing it).

Yes, 3.23 has been very stable for many people.  I think that
3.23.17 will be called a "beta" version.  We are not adding
any new stuff to 3.23, only bug fixes and minor enhancements
to features that are already there.
