PhpMyAdmin is commonly used to administer MySQL databases including for
backup and export purposes - however, sometimes a test database becomes
considerably large in size running into several gigabytes of data -
attempting to backup such a database via PhpMyAdmin invariably leads to
timeout errors. What alternatives are there or what is the recommended
procedure for creating a large backup with the correct settings for a full
export, whether it is via PhpMyAdmin or at the command line?
