Version 7.6.00.09 (beta) of MaxDB software available now

Hello,

The new software version 7.6.00.09 (beta) is available now and can be
downloaded at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/maxdb/7.6.00.html.
It contains bugfixes but also several new features. 

Here are just some examples: 
* DB procedures now support parameters of the LONG data type 
* By setting the new DISABLE/ENABLE CONNECT parameter in CREATE USER and
ALTER USER statements, individual users and user groups can be prevented
from connecting to the database 
* The SELECT/FETCH optimization in JDBC has been improved
* The SQLDBC trace can now be activated by calling SQLDBC API methods
* Forward-only cursor and SELECT/FETCH optimization have been set as
default

Please note that for technical reasons the php4- and php5-dlls for
Microsoft Windows (32 bit) are temporarily not displayed on the client
download page. You can download the relevant packages
maxdb-php-v4-win-32bit-7_6_00_09.tgz and
maxdb-php-v5-win-32bit-7_6_00_09.tgz directly from the ftp server at the
following address: ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/maxdb/current/7.6.00/
Sorry for the inconvenience.
The Python package for Microsoft Windows (64 bit) has not been updated
to version 7.6.00.09.
