Certifications is a totally new area for MySQL AB, and as such things go, "a few months" turned out to be many, many months of hard work getting all the little pieces to fall into place -- and answering all the "why has it not been released yet?" mails that kept pouring in :-) But we got there, one step at a time, and we now have two certification tests available for those of you that want to have proof of your MySQL knowledge and skills: * MySQL Core Certification * MySQL Professional Certification The Core certification has already been around for a while and you can go take that exam any time you wish. The Professional certification exam has just currently released as "Beta". We are currently running a campaign with discounts on both exams, please see https://order.mysql.com for the price structure. You can read more about the certifications on http://www.mysql.com/certification/ - General certification information http://www.mysql.com/certification/certfaq.html - FAQ for the impatient http://www.mysql.com/certification/candguide/ - The candidate guide which has all the information on the exams, their contents and how to go about taking them.
